  皇家繪畫與雕塑學院

畫家勒布倫 1648 年徵得年輕的路易十四同意建立的 皇 家繪畫與雕塑學院﹐自 1655 年起接受版畫人才。1673 年學院院規改革時﹐決定版畫專家也要像畫家一樣﹐必須交付一件銅版刻像作為入院禮。1704 年﹐規定入院禮要交付兩件。這項規定使學院的雕版收藏﹐加上餽贈與購買大大地豐富了起來。學院出版有版畫集三卷對開張﹐題為《 皇 家繪畫與雕塑學院所藏雕版之據意大利法國大師作品而作銅版畫集錦》。

與《 皇 家雕版收藏集成》同樣﹐學院的銅雕收藏也是意在印 製 後廣泛銷售。這個學院于 1793 年取消後﹐它的銅版收藏歸于國家銅版雕刻收藏館﹐構成銅版館歷史上第二次較大的收藏引進。


En 1648, le peintre Charles Le Brun obtient du jeune Louis XIV la création de l’Académie royale de Peinture et de Sculpture qui accueille les graveurs à partir de 1655. Lors de la réforme des statuts de l’Académie en 1673, il est décidé que les graveurs à l’instar des peintres devront remettre un portrait gravé comme morceau de réception. En 1704, le nombre de morceaux de réception est porté à deux, ce qui, en plus des dons et des achats, enrichira considérablement la collection de planches gravées de l’institution. Le recueil d’épreuves publié par l’Académie se compose de trois volumes in-folio et porte le titre de Collection d’Estampes d’après les maîtres d’Italie et de France, dont les planches appartiennent à l’Académie royale de Peinture et de Sculpture.

Comme les planches du Cabinet du Roi, la collection des cuivres de l’Académie était destinée au tirage puis à la vente des épreuves. Après la dissolution de l’Académie en 1793, les planches rejoignent la Chalcographie nationale constituant la deuxième collection historique intégrée à l’institution.
